When: 11, 12 & 13 June 2010
Beavers & Rainbows will be joining us at 10am on Saturday 12th, they will be taking part in Activities during the day,  and should be picked up by Parents at 8pm on Saturday evening  - arrive  in Uniform
Cubs will be joining us at 10am on Saturday 12th :-
They will all stay overnight taking part in two days of activities being picked up at 4pm on Sunday - arrive in Uniform
Brownies will be joining us
at 10am on Saturday 12th leaving at 8pm Saturday evening
or
at 10am on Sunday leaving at 4pm on Sunday :-
 
They can choose to stay overnight taking part in two days of activities being picked up at 4pm on Sunday,
Those staying overnight will be camping indoors sleeping in the HQ
 - we are limited to a max 30 Brownies sleeping over. .
Wednesday Brownies arrive Saturday in Uniform
Monday Brownies arrive Sunday with Uniform to change into later
Scouts, Guides & Explorers will be joining us at 6pm on Friday evening (they will need to eat tea before they arrive).
They will all be camping outdoors in the HQ grounds in tents taking part in the entire weekends activities.
They should be picked up at 4pm on Sunday afternoon
(although Explorers have been requested to Marshall the Potteries half Marathon on Sunday afternoon and so will be making separate collection arrangements after this event)
- arrive in camp gear - bring Uniform with you for Ceremonial
Where: Stockton Brook Scout and Guide HQ The event will take part in the HQ building, the Grounds, the field and Woods to the Rear of the HQ and the branch of the Canal between the two locks. All of our youngsters will be supervised by Leaders from Stockton Brook together with a team of qualified Instructors and CRB'd helpers.
Why: The Guiding Centenary Two years ago we held a similar event at the HQ to celebrate the Scouting Centenary,
Now it is the Scouting Sections turn to join in with the Guiding Units
and help to celebrate
100 Years of Guiding in the UK.
Pick Up Times: Saturday 8pm Saturday evening for Rainbows, Beavers and some Brownies
  Sunday 4pm Sunday for everyone else
Cost: These will vary depending on how much time members are on site.

as a result of Fundraising during the year.

If there is an Emergency involving one of your family and you need to contact a member on site then you should contact the Event Leader or Home Contacts so that the appropriate Leader can be informed. But contact must be restricted to Emergencies and not 'John has forgotten his toothbrush.', or what time do I pick them up

Permission: Parental Permission: Parental Permission forms (Pink forms) for the Event have been issued W/C 15 March 2010 and returned to your Leaders no later than Friday 23 April 2010 with a £5 non refundable deposit.
  Activity Permission Forms: Diet and Health Forms These have been issued and are to be returned by 4 June 2010
There are a number of Activities we are proposing to offer for which express Parental permission is required.

Kit List What do I Wear:
Staying overnight Sleeping Bag, blanket
Sleep wear - warm if outside
Wash Bag
Sleep On Lilo or Camp mat - (we have a few but only 15 or so) so if you have one bring it.
To Eat with Pot Bag containing : Camp type (no china or breakables please)
knife, fork, spoon, tea spoon
Tea towel
Plate
Cup
Refill type drinks Bottle - there will be juice and water available throughout the day
Hair Comb or brush
Something to tie hair back with - some activities require this
Sitter For the camp fire -  A Large plastic bag stuffed with newspaper or cushion, and sealed with tape  (comfy to sit on)
Adults may bring a camp chair
Footwear Trainers, pumps, water shoes, crocs suitable for the Activities listed below, at least one change of footwear is essential as you will get wet.
Please no flip flops or other ballerina type pumps (unless you are sleeping indoors and only wear in doors) - there are thorns in the grounds and these will penetrate flimsy footwear.
Footwear needs to be suitable for the activities you are taking part in.
Uniform To be worn for opening and closing ceremony
If you are arriving Saturday am arrive wearing it.
If you are arriving Friday or Sunday - bring it with you.
Clothes Fleece to wear in evening (or if day forecast is cool) and Camp blanket if evening is cool (inc cubs and Brownies as you will be having supper around fire on Saturday)
Waterproofs (to wear if forecast poor)
Shorts
Trousers for evening or suitable for running around in in day
T Shirts - you will be given one but need change of clothes or several as you will get wet
Long sleeve top for Archery/Shooting and if it gets cool
If you have wet suit Ie are Kayaker then you may bring suitable gear if not swimsuit or pumps/crocs, and T shirt/long sleeve capable of getting wet will be good.
Programme: PROGRAMME
Friday eve 6pm Scouts, Guides and Explorers arrive and set up Camp
Members will be allocated to one of 8 teams
Shooting: Air Rifle shooting open to over 10 yr olds on Friday evening only
Wide Game: a game of skill and cunning themed to test the wits of three teams
Supper: cooked on Alter fires
Saturday Scouts Guides and Explorers help set up Activities
day 10am The Younger Participants arrive
10.15am Opening Ceremony - Uniform to be Worn
10.30 onwards Canoeing, Kayaking on the Canal
Field Archery
Inflatable Assault Course
Team games and Challenges
Craft based, Science based activities  
Crystal Maze type challenging Activities (some of these involve water)
Wheelbarrow Racing,
Space Hopper Football
Water slide
Orienteering
Saturday eve Barbecue followed by a 'Traditional Camp Fire
8pm Rainbows and Beavers, and other Day Visitors leave us
Supper under the Stars, and time to socialise
Explorers Scouts and Guides invite the Cubs and Brownies to join them and show them how to cook on an open fire
Sunday as Saturday am except no Inflatable
  plus Rafting on the Canal
3.45 pm Closing Ceremony - Uniform to be Worn
4pm Go home

Space Hoppers: We now have 14 - a few more would be welcome
Small Goal Posts: suitable for 5 a Side
Wheel barrows - we need at  3-4 of these  (small and larger)
Disc Golf
Large Garden Jenga
Other large garden games or puzzles suitable for Team Activities
We need a quantity of empty and washed small glass potted sandwich jars for use in an Experimental activity
Plastic 2 litre empty bottles
Half dozen table tennis balls
Bales of Straw
