Stockton Brook Scout and Guide Group Council exists to manage the Group Headquarters building
and to raise funds by organising special events such as our autumn bonfire and firework display. 

Group Council meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every other month.
All parents of young people in our units, as well as all Leaders are automatically members of the Group Council and can attend all meetings.

If you can support us in any way please contact us.
If you are interested in taking up a position on the Group Council why not volunteer
If you are interested in becoming a Leader or Unit helper at Stockton Brook why not volunteer

The headquarters building can be used for parties, meetings etc. To find out more, please email the  Bookings Secretary.

Minutes of meetings are circulated to all Leaders and those present,  and are available on request.
Meetings take place on the first Wednesday of every month except August (when most of the units do not meet)
Meetings alternate with Leaders meetings so there are 6 Group Council Meetings (which Parents and helpers are welcome to attend) and 6 Leaders Planning meetings during the year.

Expenditure: At Group Council meetings some of the items we discuss are general day to day expenses, maintenance of the Headquarters and other expenditure on equipment, and larger maintenance items. These items are approved by a chorum of votes - 3 votes from each section (Scouting and Guiding) are needed as well as votes from executive council members. For recent expenditure items.......

at Trent Squash Club, this will be a Social occasion with the AGM taking up a small part

Leaders, Parents and Members who are interested in attending, please come along and see what our units and more especially your children get up to and why they love Scout and Guiding so much, and enjoy a drink and socialising.
