Who are we?

Guides are Girls aged ten and over!
We get together regularly to do lots of exciting things and generally have a good laugh.

1st Stockton Brook Guides meet every Thursday from 7:00pm
Guides are asked to arrive between 6.45 to 6.50pm so that any subs and Activity payments can be dealt with, Guides greet their friends, chat to the Leaders; and so that Flag Break can commence promptly at 7pm.

We would ask that Parents wait in the entrance foyer to pick up their daughters. We ask that Parents ALWAYS come into the Headquarters to pick their daughters up, this gives the Leaders chance to speak to parents, for parents to be made aware of forthcoming activities, and for Subs and Activity payments to be collected, It is important to us that parents understand what happens at Guides and to take an interest.

Guides are asked not to leave the building until their parents are there to pick them up.   If someone else other than yourself is to pick up your daughter - you must tell the Guide Leader at the start of the meeting, who will make a note of this - this is for your daughters safety.

Some meetings may take place at venues other than at the Group Headquarters, and parents are asked to make their own transport arrangements if possible; or agree car sharing with other parents. If this proves difficult then the Guide Leaders can usually help find a lift.

All unit members are expected to attend regularly. If your daughter does not attend Guides for one month then we will usually fill her place with another girl.

The Unit is run by a Guider and a team of Adult leaders. We have Two Warranted Guiders, Trainee Adult Leaders, Unit Helper's and Young Leaders, who all help run our meetings. Our Guide Leaders are shown here:
