From Stockton Brook HQ ST9 9NW  via A53 From Norton and Biddulph via Congleton and A54
1 Turn left out of Moss Hill onto A53/Leek Rd 14.4 miles  -  27 mins
2 Continue through Endon  
3 Continue through Leek going through 1 roundabout direction A53  
4 Turn right at A523/Buxton Rd 1.4m
5 Continue on A53 3.8m
6 You will pass through Blackshaw moor, after you pass the Coach and Horses, go past two further turnings on your left, (Upper Hulme) you will then pass the Roaches on the left
  You will pass a small, medium and another small turning
7 Turn next  left leaving the A53 1.5m
8 Continue along country road at C junction bear right 0.9m
9 At the T junction Turn right, then road bears around to left 0.7m
10 At next T junction Turn Left, then after a few 100 yards you will see a sign for Quarnford Mill Youth Hostel and Scout Camp this bears /takes you left down the hill  
11 You will pass a car parking area (Tea rooms) on your right, you can park in this car park and walk the rest of the distance (if you have a large car or mini-bus)
The sign ahead of you says, single track road no parking beyond this point. Keep going the gateway (stone gateposts) to the Youth Hostel will be ahead of you on the right, The entrance to the Scout camp is just past this on the right. 		 
  Please note that there is limited car parking at the Scout Camp, there is enough room to park 6 cars (which includes the Warden and those staying at the site. There is room to turn your car around and drive back up the driveway - but the driveway to the camp site is rough and will not suit cars with limited engine power.
There is room to drive further onto the site if you are driving a true 4x4 or tractor !!		  
1 Come through Biddulph  on A527 18m from Biddulph 37 mins
2 Continue on the Congleton Rd  
3 As you come down the Hill into Congleton go through traffic lights and at the Roundabout take the 2nd right into Willow Street which becomes Brook Street and then Buxton Road 2.1m
4 Follow the A54 over the river, through North Rode
At the traffic lights junction with the A523 to Macclesfeild and Leek, go Straight on direction Buxton 		9m
5 When you reach Allgreave - turn right 0.7m
6 Turn right direction Gradbach, and cross over the river 0.1m
7 As you rise up the hill and come around the bend look out for a turning on your right which bends right back on yourself down the hill. Singpost Quarnford Houth Hostel  
8 Immediately on the junction there is a Signpost for the YH and Scout amp, it will be difficult to turn right into this junction without doing a three point turn in the road.

However, there is a piece of land just after and immediately across from the turning where it is safe to stop, reverse and do a U turn

 
9 Continue down the Hill and follow directions from 11 adjacent  
The camp site is 7 miles from Leek town centre
We strongly suggest that you have a look at the directions on the Internet using Google maps or other mapping service and take a closer look at the route as you come up the last part of the A53 and come off the A53 or A54 depending on which direction you are coming in,

Proceed through Flash, turning left by the church, and follow the road to the bottom of the hill, past the left turn for Royal Cottage.
About 100 metres after this junction, bear left down a farm road, passing Manor Farm on the right.
Half a mile on bear left past the gateway to the Youth Hostel and continue up the narrow lane.
At the next junction take the right fork and just below you will find the camp headquarters. Gradbach Old Hall Farm
