1. History

On 1 February 2005, a new Scout district called Potteries North was created. This new district was formed as a result of a merger of two existing districts; Potteries Central district and Tunstall district. At the same time, two groups from the old Potteries Central district transferred to Newcastle district.

2. Groups 

The following groups are now all part of Potteries North District Scouts:

11th Kidsgrove
12th Tunstall
13th Alsager
40th Stockton Brook
59th Newchapel
67th Burslem
69th Church Lawton
84th Biddulph Moor
85th Milton
97th Rode Heath
99th Berry Hill
105th Werrington
113th Goldenhill 

 


3. District Officials

David Fairbrother is the Assistant District Commissioner for Scouts

4. Division

The Stoke-on-Trent & Newcastle Division consists of four Districts working together to deliver Scouting to the young people of Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle & surrounding area. The Division is now one of only a few remaining within the UK.

The four Districts are:
Longton
Newcastle
Potteries North
Stoke Central
