Commitments and Obligations

Members of the Explorer Pack are expected to take an active role in the activities of the Pack.
The following should be considered the minimum commitment from an Explorer:

  • Attend all Explorer Meetings unless ill or away
  • Take part in Parades  to commemorate notable events when advised
  • Attend camps, sleepovers, trips/external activities and training weekends wherever possible
  • Attend majority of Church Parades, of which there are usually 3 per year - Harvest Festival service, St Georges Day Parade and  Remembrance Day Parade.

It is hoped that Guides will want to take advantage of the activities on offer to them.
If Guides have to miss meetings due to schoolwork or sports commitments, they should talk to the Explorer Scout  Leader.

Should your son/daughter decide that he/she does not wish to attend Explorer meetings any more, it is the responsibility of Parents to notify the Explorer Scout Leader.
Because of our waiting list, once your son/daughter has not attended for four weeks (without notification) we will have to let his/her place go to another boy/girl.
