Parental Responsibilities

It is hoped that parents of Explorers will want to support their sons/daughters Explorers Group. There are many ways in which this support can be given:

  • Transport for your son/daughter to venues for camps and meetings, including car sharing with other Parents
  • Transport of equipment to camps
  • Filling in and Returning Parental Consent and Health forms on time (for all those under 18), without these forms members cannot take part in our activities.
Members over the age of 18 can sign their own forms - but consent and health forms must still be provided
  • By filling in the permission for photographs section of our forms
  • By signing and returning the  Gift Aid section of our Membership forms, this is a valuable source of funding as we are given 28p back for every £1 you give us in subscriptions, by the government.
  • By supporting the Group's fund raising activities , such as our Annual Bonfire and other fundraising events
  • By attending on Parents Working weekends and offering help
  • Attending the Group's A.G.M.
  • By offering help in any other way that may be appropriate.

Signatures on Forms: It must be the person with 'Parental Responsibility' who signs any permission and health forms.
