Almost adults in Scouting, including uniformed Leaders, are volunteers -
that is, they give their time freely.
The Group Scout Leader has responsibility
for all Scouting sections at Stockton Brook.
Each Unit has a Leader who has
overall responsibility for their section, and the activities which members take
part in.
The services of others are often sought for instruction in particular
activities such as climbing and canoeing.
The unit leaders delegate
responsibilities to Assistant Leaders and to young people themselves when
appropriate.

All warranted leaders have been vetted and cleared by the CRB.
Their role is to plan a varied, active and enjoyable programme and to ensure that all activities are carried out safely and in accordance with Scout Association rules.

or any other matter related to Scouting at Stockton Brook,

on the appropriate meeting night for a chat.
Meetings and Required Numbers
For a Beaver, Cub or Scout Meeting to take place there must be :-
At least two Adult Leaders present
One of these MUST be a warranted Leader or Manager
and the required number of Leaders v Child ratios must be met
For Scouts -- a ratio of 1 to 12
outdoors and min of two Leaders indoors

For Cubs -- a ratio of 1 to 8 outdoors and min
of two Leaders indoors
·
For Beavers -- a ratio of 1 to 6
outdoors and min of two Leaders indoors
Our Leaders photo's are displayed above to assist you in recognizing them,
from time to time Leaders from other units will join us
Please do not drop your son/daughter off at a meeting and leave him/her without first
checking that the meeting is taking place, and that the required Adults and
Ratios are met: -
