Guiding Units are now taking part in the Legs 11 Outdoor Challenge

Guides please bring  G File's and Outdoor footwear and fleece
Are You Male or Female and Over 18:
our units regularly need  Adult Volunteers to assist with running the units

Your Group Council Needs Parents.... 
Do you have 2 hours to spare 6 days a year? We need parent volunteers to sit on the Group Council and have a say in how we run the HQ more..

New Members: there are some places in some of our Units, some have a waiting list. If your child is interested in becoming a member then please let one of the unit leaders know, or send name, date of birth, contact phone nos to mail@stocktonbrook.org.uk  - even if your child is not yet old enough for the Unit it is important to register them.

Bonfire and Fireworks Display:
This years bonfire will be held on Sat 5 November:
For details following link ..................click data above... see photos of how we prepare and build our fire and all the associated set up that goes into making our bonfire so successful every year. 
If you have firewood - we do NOT need it, we build our fire with pallets donated form local businesses, the type of wood we use is strictly controlled.
Our Guide, Brownie and Rainbow Units are currently collecting items for :-

Celebrate America:   - One of our Guides Amy has been selected to go to the Celebrate America Camp in New Jersey in July and August 2012.  The Guide Unit  will be taking part in lost of fundraising to help her raise the £1,800 to go on this trip of a lifetime. 
There will be a Body Shop Party at the HQ on Thursday 8 December 2011, 7 till 9pm
A Quiz Night at the HQ on Saturday 21 January 2012
Our Guides will be bag packing in local Supermarkets in Leek, Biddulph and Hanley ....more events to follow ... Car washing,  ... A Race Night ... in planning stages
World Scout Jamboree - 4 of our Explorers have just been to the World Scout Jamboree  in Sweden  2011..... watch this space for a report on what they got up to.
Guides attended Unity International Camp from Sat 31 July to Sat 8 August 2010, a fantastic time was had by all, lots of friends made....
Guiding Centenary Celebration Weekend - Members from all our Units took part in a weekend of fun and Activities to celebrate the Guiding centenary on June 11th to 13th 2010, 125 participants took part.....
A Stick in Time: Girlguiding Staffordshire garden wins best in show prize.......
Rainbows Brownies and Guides have been enjoying celebrating the Guiding Centenary which commenced on 5 September 09 and culminated in a grand party on 20 October 2010.
Fundraising .......
Tesco Vouchers: We have now spent our current Tesco Vouchers (end of 2011)  on some new Outdoor equipment, hoops, balls, and other sports goods . Thank you to all who gave us vouchers
Sainsbury's Vouchers
: we have now spent our current Sainbury's vouchers (end of 2011) on a new larger parachute - we play games with it . it is a much loved resource with all our Units.
